Dr. Siegel is a 1974 graduate of the New England College of Optometry in Boston, Massachusetts. He has served as a consultant and Low Vision Panel Member on the New Jersey Commission for the Blind and Visually Impaired since 1980. He is also a member of the Association for the Education and Rehabilitation of the Blind and Visually Impaired (AER).

Dr. Siegel heads Monmouth Low Vision Center, part of Ophthalmic Physicians of Monmouth at 733 N. Beers Street, Holmdel, NJ 07733. For those suffering severe vision loss, he provides care which is often not available except at a special facility in a major metropolitan area.

With experience in all aspects of vision care, Dr. Siegel turned his attention exclusively to low vision and vision rehabilitation. His patients receive evaluation and rehabilitation of irreversible vision loss through a wide range of optical and electronic aids. Dr. Siegel offers expert advice, care, compassion, and new options to those learning to live with severe loss of vision.

Dr. Siegel frequently lectures on age-related vision loss and works with low vision support groups. He has been invited to speak to various agencies which work with the blind and visually impaired. Dr. Siegel has also developed low vision services for medical practices which previously had no such service.

He and his wife reside in Jackson, New Jersey.
